A vote is an opinion; a review is an analysis

When an FDA committee voted on six peptides, we moved the access rating and held the safety and science grades where they were.

An FDA advisory committee met in July 2026 and recommended six peptides for the 503A bulks list. The call in front of us was what that vote should change in our ratings. We moved the legal-access axis. The science grade and the safety grade stayed exactly where they were.

No trial had read out, which meant the evidence had not changed. The FDA's own scientific review had found the human safety data insufficient. A committee vote is an opinion. A review is an analysis, and the grades follow the analysis.

So access moved and the grades stayed. Ten weeks later the FDA still had no rule. A grade raised on the strength of the vote would have been sitting on the page, waiting to be pulled back.

The lesson is to give each question its own axis, so one headline cannot quietly move a grade.
