Sixty days to the car show
Carroll Shelby International wanted its Gardena store open for the annual car show, about four months out.
About four months ahead of its annual car show at the Gardena site, Carroll Shelby International came to us wanting the store open for the event. Nothing mattered but the show date, so we raced the build-out to meet it.
Stocking a Shelby store with product was the easy part, since the name is on so many things. The build was the hard part, so that is where all the planning went.
We won the race: the whole build-out took 60 days, start to finish, and was done before the show. If an event sets the client's date, the schedule is the product and every decision follows from that date.
