The domain was burned, and nobody had said it out loud

Outbound email bounced and drafts vanished while the team rewrote copy. I stopped sending to examine the domain.

Across several inboxes, outbound mail was bouncing and drafts were vanishing. The team kept launching campaigns and adjusting wording as though the writing were at fault. The writing was fine.

I stopped all outreach sending and froze every dollar going to list cleaning. Before one more message went out, we would reexamine the sending domain and the whole pipeline from the ground up.

More spend on cleaning lists and tweaking messages, with a bad domain underneath, only burns money and reputation and does nothing for deliverability. Diagnose the pipe first, then tune the message. Otherwise you are polishing a car whose engine is broken.

Sending stopped that very day, and a full domain and pipeline review moved to the top of the list. When an inbox goes quiet and drafts keep disappearing, check the pipe instead of writing a better email. I was ready to halt revenue-producing activity entirely rather than keep throwing effort at what I suspected was a structural fault.
