Two brands, two speeds

We ran a fast automated lead-gen product and a trust-built advisory practice, and I split how each one goes to market.

In March 2026 we had two very different offers living together. One was a fast, automated, cheaper lead generation product. The other was an advisory practice for much bigger clients, built on word of mouth since 2019. Marketing them the same way would have diluted both.

I deliberately split the go-to-market. The automated brand serves smaller clients and gets volume-tested. The high-touch brand is human-led and serves bigger, longer engagements. For the advisory brand I led the marketing with the advisory story and kept the AI underneath out of the headline.

AI is a powerful tool under both businesses, but it is not what a larger client buys when they bring you in for six months to five years. They are buying trusted judgment. Leading with automation there would undercut the thing that grew the practice for a decade, which is word of mouth built on trust.

The positioning held. Advisory marketing stayed advisor-led. On the automated side, we rebuilt the outreach infrastructure for scale and volume. What runs the business in the background is not always the story to tell the client sitting in front of you. I kept a decade of earned trust from being reduced to a technology pitch, while building that technology hard in the other half of the company.
